2. What is included in the Registration Fee?

Event tee, goodie bag, race timing (chip, number bib), race day support (aid stations, safety) and finisher medal.

 

3.Where is the Official Race Hotel?
The Official Race Hotel is situated in the Sabah Tea Plantation itself. There are several options of accommodation available to participants on a first-come-first served basis. Limited units are available. Do note that the registration fee DOES NOT include accomodation.

 

4. What are the race distances?
There are 3 race distances, which are 10km, 15km and 21km.  The number of runners will be limited to the first 500 confirmed participants (have paid for their registration).

 

5. What are the registration fees and processing fees

Early bird fees for the 3 distances are as follows

10km - USD30 
15km - USD35
21km - USD45

 

Normal registration fee after 1 September 2013

10km - USD40
15km - USD45
21km - USD55

 

The fees are inclusive of USD5 processing fees

 

6. Will on-site registration be possible
No. it will not be. However if you missed the deadline for registration, please write in to asiaxtremeadv@gmail.com to be put on the waiting list.

 

7. Will I receive a certificate once the race is over
A certificate will be sent to you via the email addres that you provided. Hence please ensure the accuracy of your email address.

 

8. Can I get a refund if I withdraw from the event?

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to asiaxtremeadv@gmail.com
Without exception, all requests must be received on or before September 1, 2014 to be eligible for a partial refund of US$15. No refund will be made after that.
 
9 Where can I find a copy of the race course map?
A copy of the routes and elevation can be found here
 
10. Is the race a mass start or a wave start?
The race will be a wave start, starting with the 42km (6.00am), 21km (6.15am) and finally 10km (6.30am).  
 
11. How do I get up to Ranau?
There are several options to get up to Ranua which is about 2 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu. You may go by bus, taxi or rented car.  We have provided a shuttle service from Kota Kinabalu to Ranau and back for the race and you may purchase a ticket for the shuttle service from the registration website. One way and 2-way shuttle servvices are available on race day itself only. 
 
12. What is the cut-off time for each category?
10km - 2.5 hours 
15km - 3 hours
21km - 3.5 hours
 
13 Where can I collect the race kit?
The race kit can be collected at the Townhall in Ranau. Collection date will be made known to you at a later date
 
14. Is there a race briefing?
Yes there will be a race briefing and will also be held at the Townhall in Ranaui. Whilst the briefing is not compulsory, it would be advisable to attend the briefing. The Date will be made know to you later.
